Terms of Service

Last updated 13 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Fundorra. They explain what Fundorra does, who actually holds your money, who is allowed to move it, and what happens when something goes wrong. Please read them before you add money to a group.

1. What Fundorra is

Fundorra is software for groups that pool money — savings circles, teams, associations and similar. It records what each member has contributed, what each member is owed, and every movement in or out, so that each naira in a group remains attributable to a named member.

Fundorra is not a bank and is not a licensed financial institution. We do not take deposits, we do not lend, and we do not provide financial advice.

2. Who holds your money

Money you add to a group is held by a licensed payment service provider regulated in Nigeria, not by Fundorra. Deposits are made into an account held at that partner, and withdrawals are paid out by that partner to the bank account you nominate.

Fundorra does not hold member funds in its own operating account at any point. Fundorra records and instructs; the partner holds and moves.

3. Groups, sponsors and approvals

Every group has a leader. Leaders set trust levels, which determine how much a member may withdraw without approval. Withdrawals above a member's limit are held until they are approved or declined.

Members are invited by other members. Whoever invites you becomes your sponsor, and your sponsor is who reviews your withdrawal requests. Your sponsor may have a sponsor of their own, and so on up to the group leader.

If a request is not decided within the group's escalation window, it moves up to your sponsor's sponsor, and continues upward until someone decides it. Nothing stays stuck because one person went quiet.

A sponsor receives no share, commission or benefit of any kind from the money of the people they sponsor. Every member's balance is their own money, funded by their own deposits and paid out only to a bank account in their own name. The sponsor relationship carries approval authority and visibility, and nothing else. Fundorra does not operate, and will not support, any arrangement in which members are paid from the contributions of members beneath them.

A sponsor or leader can see balances and movements for the people they are responsible for. Neither can move another member's money to themselves, and neither can delete a completed transaction.

4. Your account

You must give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to it.

You must be at least 18 to use Fundorra, and you must not use it on behalf of someone else without their knowledge.

5. Adding and withdrawing money

Deposits are credited once our payment partner confirms the money has arrived. This is usually quick but is not instant and is not under our control.

Withdrawals are paid to a bank account in your name. We may refuse a withdrawal where the account name does not match, where a leader has declined it, or where we are required to hold it.

Fees, where they apply, are shown before you confirm a withdrawal.

6. The ledger

Every movement is written to a permanent record. Transactions are never deleted, including while a dispute is being resolved. A correction is recorded as an additional entry, so the original remains visible and auditable.

7. Disputes

If you believe your balance is wrong or a transaction is not yours, report it from your profile. Your group leader and the group owner can review it, and the original records stay intact while it is being looked at.

If a dispute cannot be resolved within the group, contact us directly at the address at the bottom of this page.

8. If a leader approves a fraudulent withdrawal

A group leader acts as an agent of the members of their group when approving withdrawals. Approval is not a formality — it is the leader confirming that the request is genuine and that the member is entitled to the money.

Where a leader approves a withdrawal that turns out to be fraudulent, the leader bears the consequence of that approval, not the member whose money was taken and not Fundorra. The leader is responsible for making the affected member whole.

We will provide the full record of the request, the approval and the payout to support any claim between the parties, and we will cooperate with law enforcement where a crime is alleged.

By accepting the role of leader you accept this responsibility. If you are not willing to carry it, do not approve withdrawals you cannot verify.

9. If Fundorra stops operating

Your money is not held by us, so it does not disappear if we do. It sits with our licensed payment provider, recorded against your name.

If Fundorra ceases to operate, we will notify every member, suspend new deposits, and work with the payment provider so that each member's balance is returned directly to them by that provider — to the bank account on their profile where one is held.

We will give members reasonable notice and a final statement of their balance before the service closes, and the ledger will be preserved so that every balance can be evidenced.

10. What we are not responsible for

Subject to clause 8, we are not responsible for disagreements between members of a group, or for the terms under which a group operates. Fundorra records what happens; it does not arbitrate between members.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by our payment partner, your bank, or a loss of internet connectivity.

11. Suspension

We may suspend an account or a group where we reasonably suspect fraud, where we are required to by law or by our payment partner, or where these terms are being broken. Where we do, we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Fundorra after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
