Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026

This explains what personal information Fundorra collects, why we need it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal language.

1. Who we are

Fundorra is the data controller for the information described here. The Fundorra company registration is pending. You can reach us at the address at the bottom of this page.

2. What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the bank account details you nominate for withdrawals.

Information created by using Fundorra: the groups you belong to, your balances, every deposit and withdrawal, approvals made on your requests, and any dispute you report.

Technical information: basic device and error information that helps us find and fix faults.

We do not collect your bank password, your card PIN, or your BVN through the app. Where identity verification is required, it is carried out by our payment partner directly.

3. Why we hold it

To run your account and show you your balance. To move money when you ask us to. To let your group leader approve withdrawals. To keep the permanent transaction record that makes the ledger trustworthy. To meet legal and anti-fraud obligations that apply to financial services.

4. Who else sees it

Your group leader sees your name, your balance, and your transactions within that group. They do not see your bank account number in full.

Our payment partner receives what it needs to hold and move money and to meet its own regulatory obligations.

Our infrastructure providers store and serve the data on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

5. Where it is stored

Your data is held on managed cloud infrastructure and may be processed outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards for international transfers.

6. How long we keep it

Financial records are kept for as long as the law requires of financial services records, which is longer than your account may be open. Because the ledger is permanent, transactions are not deleted even when an account is closed.

Information that is not part of the financial record — such as your phone number — is deleted when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete data we are not required to keep, and object to certain kinds of processing.

Write to us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

8. Security

Access to your data is restricted by database-level rules so that members can only read their own records and a leader only the records of their own group. Traffic is encrypted in transit. We never store your password — only a cryptographic hash of it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

9. Children

Fundorra is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
